I attempted a blog post yesterday, but by the time I finished my last local errands for a week in the morning, drove 4 hours home, ate dinner (tacos, yes), and did another 4 hours of holiday shopping with my family, I had zero left in the tank.
Today I mostly did nothing (with a side of food that included French brioche toast topped with mashed avocado & fried egg, yes), until I claimed the final hour of sunlight for my own and got out for a slow but solid jog.
All of this was necessary & felt good — especially the running. I had been pretty neglectful of my routine (and subsequently my physique) the past couple months while sorting myself out. Time to get back to it.
“Move a muscle, change a thought,” as they say.
