Constantly note anything that is pleasing. Tiny things, little things. You were cold, so you put on your coat, and now you feel warm. Throughout the day, you feel a multitude of moments of fleeting happiness. You become more easily touched, more grateful for the smallest things. This “cheerfulness practice” shifts the balance in your emotional life and makes it easier to deal with hard things.
Simple. This practice also goes a long way to feeling less “jaded.” I used to appreciate more & fear judgment less.
No reason not to again.
