What We Do

Sailed for the second time this season, and what a blessing it is to be able to leisure cruise the coastal waters of southern Connecticut.  The world of boating is still another language to my senses, but it is one that deeply fascinates me.  To just be on the water worry-free is its own zen.  I am grateful.

Also knowing how the “back to life, back to reality” check is following festival bliss (doubly so with the financial quarter having just ended in June), I placed an ace in my back pocket this spring for a quick pick-me-up: I managed to hold off on watching any of the 5th season of Game of Thrones, and save for maybe one (kind of major) character death, also somehow managed to avoid reading, seeing, or hearing any spoilers.

It’s just a great show.

One final note of gratitude/zen/bliss: if you didn’t know, French Toast Crunch cereal is back in the aisles of your local supermarket.  As a ’90s kid, and still a kid in general / at heart, this pleases me.  Is it not just the little things that keep our heads up when we need a lift?

Much better than the bottle, at any rate. That is all.
