2.5, 30, or 912

So I got that goin' for me...which is nice.
So I got that goin’ for me…which is nice.

Two and a half years.

30 months.

912 days.

It’s hard to believe that much time stands between me and my Last Drink.  It’s not so simple…and yet, it’s exactly so simple.

Out here getting better and better and better at it.  At sobriety, at recovery, at life.

For example: I’m currently running 6 miles a day to get in better shape so I can feel good about lounging shirtless in the summer heat for 4 days at a month-end music festival in deepwoods Michigan, where I’ll be camping with one of my closest friends from college.

It’s going…OK.  It is…a process.  But let’s remember that I don’t have to do any of that; rather, I get to.

When you start to look around at life in that way, the littlest pieces become that much more meaningful.
I get to do this.  Even on my worst day, every single second is still a privilege of the highest order.

With another milestone between Now and Then…nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile. #Grateful
