Knocking Out Dentals

Today’s zen: listen to your body, and know when it’s acceptable to rest it — to give it a break from the constant rotation of demands we tend to unload upon it.

Shared in the context of having (4) wisdom teeth extracted today.  A surprisingly painless procedure (local numbing agents turn saws and pliers into mild pressure points)…but the soreness following the removal of parts of your jaw can be exhausting to manage.

Reacquainting myself with the couch this weekend.  Feels good right here.

Naturally, I’m craving nothing more than steak & corn-on-the-cob now…a reward for a return to full health, perhaps.
Also been instructed to limit over-exertion and heavy breathing, so I will have to ration the ice cream & pudding responsibly until I’ve been cleared as fit to run.

Moderation never goes out of style.
