It has come to my attention recently that the manner in which I internally conduct my recovery program (intensely & seriously) has been seeping out onto my external disposition.
While this is appropriate in certain contexts and settings, for a general day-to-day walkabout demeanor? Less good.
The solution is simple, and two-fold:
- Meditate. Alleviate internal tension & lift myself up.
- Smile. The simple act of smiling has been physically proven to increase overall feelings of happiness.
That’s it. Practice, and practice zen.
