Morning Meditation

One of the biggest drivers of productivity at my office desk is a solid playlist.  It never ceases to amaze me how much easier it becomes to stay focused on a singular task or even a list of tasks, with a trusty background beat to give me consistent rhythms to work against.

The second biggest driver of productivity behind music?  Coffee.

But until I arrive & after I leave, I try not to let the “work brain” intrude upon other thoughts.  I am fortunate & grateful that (at present) everything my professional role requires of me can be conducted between business hours.  It remains crucial for me to have decompression time either side of those hours.

As I am not an A.M. type of person, I generally reserve those hours (if awake) for relaxation.  Simple enjoyment of the day, pre-business and pre-agenda.  It’s important to take those breaks, those daily reprieves — and to not feel guilty about not being consumed elsewhere, always alltime 24/7.

So this morning is a sort of mindful meditation via casual blogging & a special blend of very downtempo electronic-soul.
If you need to take a moment for yourself, by all means feel free to dive in.  #sublime.
