Kick Back

Lots of lo-fi/crisp percussion/ethereal synths in the office playlist today.

A 3-minute escape from reality, into saxy bliss.

Having a decent set of external computer speakers alleviates almost any stress that builds throughout the day.
My eyeballs still hurt like, insanely badly though.  Far too much screen time this week.  Definitely carving a block out over the next 2 days to sit in my reading chair with a solid story.  Without alcohol as the center of my world, I have such an easier time relaxing, in whatever format I may wish.  It is truly a liberating blessing.

But the hustle feels good – departmentally, we crushed the workload/deadlines.  My boss is a firm believer in weekends as a sacred separation of office & life.  I think I like his policies.

Grateful for time to unwind and do nothing (wherein “nothing” equals “all the shit I could not even begin to during the week”).
